Volunteer HR Administrator
Purpose of Role
The voluntary HR Administrator is responsible for supporting the HR function by assisting in the administrative tasks of the office.
Responsible to: HR Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the HR Manager and Officer in a wide range of administrative HR duties.
- Provide effective administration for recruitment, staff development and employee records.
- Be involved in the full recruitment process including preparing information packs, supporting interview panels, dealing with correspondence and contracts.
- Maintain the HR database and personnel files, setting up records/files, providing reports and letters.
- Assist with the creation of a new system for recording staff development.
- Assist with the creation of a new system of recording staff absence.
- Other general clerical administrative services for the office.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Voluntary HR Administrator
Education & Training
- Part CIPD qualified or studying for an HR qualification (E)
- First degree or equivalent (D)
Experience
- Work experience in an office environment (E)
- Familiarity with Microsoft office packages (E)
- Familiarity with database packages (D)
Skills & Abilities
- Calculate and analysis statistical information and present this logically either verbally or in writing (E)
- Systematic and logical thinker who can organise systems effectively and securely (E)
- Demonstrable abilities to deal with confidential and trust issues
- Prepared to be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work
E = Essential. D = Desirable
We are looking for a volunteer to work at our Park Circus offices. You will be able to commit anywhere between 7 and 21 hours per week Monday to Thursday, during office hours. In return you will get some great HR work experience within an organisation that is truly adding value not only to its employees but to the global community and those affected by poverty.
