Are You Ready For The Wave?

SCIAF is urging people from across Scotland to send a clear message to world leaders by joining Scotland's largest ever climate change march.

Join The Wave in Glasgow on 5th December and make sure your voice is heard!

This summer, Scotland introduced the most ambitious climate change targets yet to be adopted by any wealthy nation. The Wave will see leading celebrities join forces with thousands of Scots to call on Heads of State from rich countries to follow Scotland's lead ahead of the crucial UN climate summit in Copenhagen.

We are asking for world leaders to take tough action on climate change, protect the world's poorest people - who are already being hit the hardest by floods, hurricanes and drought - and act fair and fast to address the problem.

The family-friendly rally will culminate with music, entertainment and speeches in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park.

This special climate event, organised by the Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, of which SCIAF is a member promises to be the largest march Scotland has seen since Make Poverty History in 2005. It will be one of many public gatherings around the world - including London - taking place ahead of UN climate change negotiations in Copenhagen where world leaders must agree a global solution to the problem of climate change.

Let us all send a clear message to world leaders that we want to protect the world’s poor and ensure a safe future for our children”.
