Hats off for Haiti

Children at St Denis’ Primary in Glasgow wore hats, wigs and masks to school to raise money for SCIAF’s Haiti Earthquake Appeal.

Each class was given a container for donations and a special tear-off slip which they could bring to the head mistress if their collection boxes became too full. The children also helped to count up all the money they raised, which came to over £450!

SCIAF visited the school to thank everyone for their hard work and talk about how the money they have raised is being used to give people in Haiti food, shelter, clean water and first aid.

Donations from Scotland are not only providing short-term emergency support – they will also help communities in Haiti to recover, rebuild and get back on their feet in the months and years to come.
