In 2007 the people of Ethiopia celebrated their millennium, a time of promise and hope. They are a people, who, from the earliest centuries, have celebrated the birth of Jesus, God made man; and in their history and their lives they have also experienced his passion and death.
As we walk with you, Lord, through your passion to your death, help us to walk compassionately with the people in our world, who, because of poverty, oppression and disease, constantly experience their own passion.
