FREE entry to the Edinburgh Marathon

Whether you’re an experienced runner or a beginner SCIAF would love you to run the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money to help the many thousands of people we support in developing countries.

You can have a FREE entry into the event by taking up the sponsorship challenge with SCIAF.

The Edinburgh Marathon takes place on Sunday 25th May this year and offers runners a spectacularly scenic route past many of Edinburgh’s famous landmarks and tourist attractions including the Castle, Scottish Parliament and Arthur’s Seat.

You can choose to run the full marathon yourself or make up a team of four for the ‘Hairy Haggis’ Team Relay in which four people each run a portion of the full marathon. In return you or your team agree to raise £300 in sponsorship for SCIAF’s work in developing countries.

This great event is more than just a race – it’s a festival of fun with on-route entertainment and finish-line celebrations. The race day also reflects great human spirit thanks to the thousands of runners raising much needed funds for charitable causes.
