Roll up, roll up and join the circus with SCIAF this summer - as Circolombia comes to town
The team behind one of the most exciting young circus troupes in the world has donated tickets for SCIAF to raise funds for our vital work in developing countries. It is a great opportunity to help SCIAF raise money and see an exciting, truly world-class show all in one.
Circolombia is one of the world’s most exciting circus groups and they’re performing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The troupe of Colombian youngsters are graduates from Circo Para Todos (Circus for all), an organisation which trains some of Colombia’s most disadvantaged young people in circus skills to give them confidence, and the chance to escape poverty.
The troupe was started in western Colombia and Circo Para Todos was started by Felicity Simpson, a British woman and former circus performer, who set up the school in 1997. She advises that her school not only introduces purpose to young people's lives in western Colombia, but takes them away from the often chaotic streets.
We are delighted to offer our fantastic supporters a limited number of tickets for their exhilarating new show ‘Urban’ on at 12pm Saturday 6th August at the Assembly Hall in Edinburgh. Face value is £20 but top-ups are most welcome!
This is a unique chance to see what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A sell out show across the world, Urban has been rated as a 4 * production by The Guardian, who called it a 'great night out...with relentless energy.’
