Mind the Gap - Sustainable Development Education with Gapminder
We recently came across an exciting tool called Gapminder and thought you'd like to check it out
Gapminder is a graphing tool aimed at promoting sustainable global development and helping achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. This fantastically interactive tool was founded in Stockholm by Ola Rosling, Anna Rosling Rönnlund and Hans Rosling during 2005.
They describe the site as a modern museum on the internet stating that Gapminder is "fighting the most devastating myths by building a fact-based world view that everyone understands."
What do you reckon? Can online tools like this help people embrace international development on a wider scale and perhaps more importantly develop a stronger understanding of the need for sustainable development across the world?
