- Participation in this raffle costs £1 per raffle ticket.
- This raffle is open to residents of mainland Great Britain (this excludes Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands).
- No tickets can be sold to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 years.
- If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize.
- Trustees and employees of SCIAF, and members of their households, are ineligible to enter this raffle. Any tickets bought in the name of SCIAF trustees, employees or members of their households will be rejected from the draw and considered as donations to SCIAF.
- Monies raised by this raffle will support the general work of SCIAF, Registered Charity No SC012302.
- Payment for participation in the raffle can be made by cheque payable to SCIAF, credit/debit card or cash.
- Raffle tickets will be entered into the draw when the whole payment is received.
- SCIAF accepts no responsibility for raffle tickets which are lost, damaged, illegible or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified.
- All tickets must be received no later than Friday 24 September 2010.
- Any ticket entries received after Friday 24 September 2010 will be considered as donations to SCIAF.
- The draw will take place on Friday 1 October 2010.
- Twenty-two raffle tickets will be drawn randomly for the main raffle draw.
- The first ticket number drawn will receive £2500 or a Nile Cruise.
- The second ticket number drawn will receive £500 or a TV/Blu-ray player.
- The next twenty ticket numbers drawn will each receive £20 worth of Argos vouchers.
- The rapid reply draw will close on Sunday 5 September. The draw will take place on Friday 24 September. The five ticket numbers drawn will receive a solar-powered digital radio.
- The result of the raffle draw is final.
- Winners will be notified by post, email or telephone no later than two weeks after the draw date. A list of winners will also be published at www.sciaf.org.uk/raffle two weeks after the draw date. Please keep the ticket number as proof of purchase.
- Where SCIAF is unable to contact a prize-winner so that a prize remains unclaimed for six months following SCIAF’s first attempt to notify the prize-winner, SCIAF may apply the prize as it sees fit, including by re-offering the prize in future raffles.
- SCIAF may use the name of a prize-winner for promotional purposes.
- SCIAF is registered as a Society Lottery operator by the Gambling Commission. SCIAF is registered with the Gambling Commission to operate this raffle, licence reference 27098. This licence is issued under Part 5 of the Gambling Act 2005, and is valid from 18 August 2010.
