Building a future - men learning construction in Southern Sudan

The St Martain de Porres Brothers’ Vocational Training Project gives practical, employable skills to non academic homeless youths who, because of the war, have had no opportunity to learn a trade.

Mechanical, welding and construction skills in particular are needed across Southern Sudan to help with the rebuilding of the south’s devastated infrastructure.

Having gained an employable skill it is hoped these young people will not only have greater autonomy and control over their own lives, but that they will become directly involved in the reconstruction of their own communities.
