Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Regional Conference

The Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Regional Conference (SCBRC) has received funding from SCIAF to reinstate livelihood training and basic services for returning refugees in the Dioceses of Rumbek and Yei.

There are few, if any, services provided by the state in these areas, with nearly all health and educational services being provided by the Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs).

Following the war there remains a desperate need for multi-sectoral development (water, health, agriculture, civic education) to re-establish the livelihoods of those who have chosen to return.
