Super Cyclone SIDR struck Bangladesh on November 15th 2007, killing more than 3,500 people. More than four and a half million people were affected by the disaster and many of the country’s poorest communities were worst hit as hundreds of thousands of homes and livelihoods were destroyed.

Those left homeless cyclones are particularly vulnerable to the spread of disease and the risk of further flooding.
