Indonesian Earthquake - May 2006

On 27th May 2006, an earthquake occured in the Indian Ocean around 15 miles from the Indonesian city of Yogyakarta, near Galur. The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale.
It was estimated that over 5000 people were killed by the earthquake, with over 100,000 homes damaged and over a million people left homeless.
