Leave a gift in your Will

Over 60 years, SCIAF supporters have helped to give millions of people a hand up out of poverty. By choosing to leave a gift in your Will to SCIAF you can help for another 60 years.

Since 1965, with your support, we've given people in the poorest parts of the world the skills, tools and training they need to support their families, achieve new realities, and build brighter futures.

We exist to tackle global wrongs and build a just and green world for all. By remembering SCIAF in your Will, you can help continue this good work for another 60 years.

SCIAF raises around £4m a year from generous supporters, who reach out and donate in solidarity with the poor. As much as a quarter of our income comes from gifts in Wills, funding vital work around the world that makes a real and lasting difference.

There are three main types of gifts that you can leave:

  • a share of your estate (a residuary gift)
  • a fixed amount of money (a pecuniary gift)
  • a particular item (a specific gift)

If you would like to leave a gift to SCIAF in your Will, after you have of course taken care of your loved ones, this is very simple to arrange.

All you need to do is to speak to your legal advisor with a note of our Registered Charity Number and address and they will be able to carry out your wishes.

Charity No: SC012302
SCIAF, 7 West Nile Street, Glasgow, G1 2PR

When the time is right for you to remember a charity in your Will, please choose SCIAF so your faith in a fairer world can live on.

We fully respect that making a Will is a very personal and private matter and as such all enquiries we receive in this regard are treated sensitively and in the strictest confidence.

SCIAF is part of Will Aid

Will Aid is a special partnership between the legal profession and nine of the UK's best-loved charities. Every November, participating solicitors waive their fee for writing a basic Will. Instead, they invite their clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.

With Will Aid, everyone benefits. You get a professionally drawn-up Will and peace of mind, while charities just like SCIAF receive much-needed donations for our work.

To take part, visit the Will Aid website or call them on 0300 0300 013 for details of a solicitor near you.
