Rebuilding lives in Syria

You can rebuild lives.

Syria is a country that has been destroyed by war and which continues to suffer conflict and uncertainty. In the deserted towns and cities opportunities for work are scarce. Families are unable to support themselves, and with no source of income they're suffering. The people of Syria are exhausted, their lives have been shattered, and they are trapped in a country broken by war.

Many people, young and old, are deeply traumatised by what they have witnessed. Even in places where the fighting has now stopped, and where families have survived the war, they are now struggling to survive the peace.

In cities like Homs the streets are quiet now. With so little work available, many people can't earn any money. They rely on the kindness of others for life’s basics such as food and medicine.

SCIAF's partners are working in Homs to provide these essentials, offering medical assistence and food. Our partners are also helping families to rebuild homes which have been destroyed in the violent conflict.

Slowly the experiences of fear, hunger and suffering felt by families in Syria are being replaced by the hope that peace will return, and both the people and cities of Syria will rebuild, grow and thrive once again.

When you donate to SCIAF you're helping our partners in Syria, and around the world, provide support to people and communities who need it most.
