Ask the Prime Minister to waive visas for Ukrainians
Urge the government to ensure safety for Ukrainian refugees today.
Anyone seeking refuge because of war should be given support. The UK should be a place they can turn to if they need somewhere safe to get shelter.
The need is urgent. The people of Ukraine need our help today. As it has previously done in times of war, the UK government must offer a safe haven for those who need it. That means waiving the normal visa process and offering a warm welcome to people already traumatised by conflict.
As we watch families trying to flee from danger, we need not only to open our hearts, but to welcome them into the UK.
In Scotland Archbishop William Nolan, and more than 1,000 faith leaders from across the UK, have already written to the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, urging him to reconsider the Nationality and Borders Bill.
Join SCIAF and Justice and Peace Scotland in calling the government to act and ask the Prime Minister to waive visas for Ukrainian refugees, ensuring those who have been forced from their homes are able to reach safety.
