Despite a blooming tourist industry Cambodia remains a country with very high levels of poverty, particularly for ethnic minorities and those living in rural areas. Families dependent on fishing have seen fish stocks devastated by illegal fishing, such as using dynamite and electrocution, while farmers struggle in the face of land-grabbing and deforestation by businesses.

Working with a number of Cambodian organisations, we're helping vulnerable communities to stand up for their rights, protect their rivers, forests and land, adapt the way they farm so they can cope with climate change, and grow enough food and earn a living to support themselves all year round. We’re also helping women in rural areas to save, increase their incomes and protect themselves from violence in the home.
