The Most Reverend Leo Cushley is the Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh. Since his ordination in 1985, he has taken up a variety of positions, both within Scotland and around the world. He has served in the Diplomatic Service of the Holy See in Burundi, Portugal and the United Nations.  From 2009 to 2013 he was head of the English-language section of the Vatican Secretariat of State, responsible for accompanying the Pope during all his visits to English speaking countries. In 2012, Archbishop Cusley was also appointed to the ceremonial position of Prelate of the Anticamera, with duties that include assisting the Pope when he receives visits from prominent dignitaries. On 24th July 2013, the Most Reverend Leo Cushley was appointed Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh.
