The humanitarian situation in Sudan represents one of the gravest and most neglected crises in the world today, marked by immense human suffering, widespread displacement, and the erosion of basic human dignity. Ongoing conflict has devastated communities, destroyed livelihoods, and severely weakened already fragile social and economic systems. 

Millions of Sudanese civilians—especially women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities—are facing acute food insecurity, lack of access to clean water, healthcare, and shelter. Entire families have been forced to flee their homes, often multiple times, seeking safety within Sudan or across borders. 

This is a profound human tragedy that tears apart families, cultures, and social bonds. 

Local partners, often embedded within affected communities, continue to provide life-saving assistance despite insecurity and limited resources. Their work includes emergency water and sanitation, primary healthcare, cash assistance and protection services, particularly for women and children at risk of violence and exploitation.
