Four million people are experiencing food insecurity across the country and many are facing critical levels of acute malnutrition right now. These people require urgent and immediate life-saving assistance.

Malawi continues to face challenges related to climate induced disasters particularly related to food security. As the people of Malawi recover from one disaster, disasters have continued to follow. In October 2025, a State of Disaster was declared due to food insecurity caused by erratic weather, affecting people across all districts of Malawi.
