This SCIAF Education resource helps pupils connect their faith with care for our global neighbours and our common home.
This year’s featured Laudato Si’ Real Gifts are vegetable gardens and beekeeping. Pupils can discover how growing food and caring for bees help families meet their needs, earn an income and care for the environment.
Inside the booklet you’ll find:
- Primary learning materials exploring vegetable gardens and beekeeping, with facts and prayers to support classroom learning and reflection.
- Secondary discussion questions encouraging critical thinking about ethical giving and sustainability.
- A Real Gifts prayer for use in class and at assemblies.
- RERC curriculum links to support planning across primary and secondary.
- Ideas for putting learning into action, including sharing learning with the school community, inviting a SCIAF speaker and using our Sale or Return service.
