Novena of Prayer for the Batwa community of Rwanda

Pray along with us for nine consecutive days through this novena for The Batwa community who live in rural Rwanda.

Native to the Great Lakes region of Central Africa, the Batwa have always lived in harmony with nature.

The practice of novenas is rooted in the biblical account of the Apostles, who, after Christ’s Ascension, persevered in prayer for nine days with Mary, awaiting the descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2:1 4).

This first Christian novena serves as the model for all novenas of preparation and prayer.

Stand shoulder to shoulder with the Batwa community through prayer. This novena can be said at any time of the year.
