Indigenous Knowledge Early Warning Systems in Malawi

This report looks at the climate risks, adaptation practices and early warning systems in communities that took part in the Climate Challenge Programme, Malawi.

Communities face major climate induced challenges, with floods and drought increasing in frequency and severity. Understanding communities’ vulnerability requires unravelling a series of interconnected issues including limited access to social services, fragility of the local economy and environment and exposure to multiple hazards.
