Journey: Exploring art and faith

This resource invites pupils to explore Journey, a contemporary religious painting by artist Mark Armstrong, created to mark 60 years of SCIAF.

3 activities suitable for Second Level (P5–P7) and Third Level (S1–S3) referencing SOC, EXA and RERC supporting pupils to:

• explore how faith is rooted in place, history and community
• respond to religious artwork and express their ideas
• learn about St Columbkille and the early Church in Scotland
• understand how the Church responds to the needs of others through SCIAF
• reflect on how they are called to live their faith in the world today.
