Bishop Stephen Robson
The Right Reverend Stephen Robson is the Bishop of Dunkeld. After studying for a degree in biological sciences at the University of Edinburgh, he was ordained in 1979 and went on to hold a number of pastoral assignments throughout Scotland. In 1987 he gained a Masters Degree in Theology from the University of Edinburgh. From 1998 to 2006 he was the Spiritual Director of the Pontifical Scots College in Rome, where he also gained a Doctorate in Spiritual Theology and a License in Canon Law from the Pontifical Gregorian University. On returning to Scotland he became Chancellor and then Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Saint Andrews and Edinburgh and pastor in North Berwick and Dunbar. He also served as a judge of the Scottish National Catholic Tribunal. In 2012 he became auxiliary Bishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh, and was Nominated Bishop of Dunkeld in December 2013 before being installed as Bishop of Dunkeld in January 2014.
