Restore life-saving aid

In Ethiopia, women and girls walk for hours under the scorching sun to find water, risking their safety as they search remote, unsafe places.  Climate change and conflict has made this situation worse.  

UK life-saving aid is helping communities access safe and healthy water – from providing the resources to dig wells near homes, repair pumps, and ensure that water keeps flowing. UK aid also provide essential services to thousands of refugees and internally displaced people from conflict in Ethiopia and around the world. Without access to clean and safe water, disease, ill-health and death can be the result.  This makes the world less safe.  

UK aid cuts are projected to hurt 55 million people globally, depriving them of access to basic services - including access to clear and safe water. It is a short-sighted decision that must be reversed.  

Tell the UK Government to return aid to 0.7% immediately.
