A Better World is Possible: Scotland's Role in Global Justice

SCIAF sets out, ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections in May 2026, what we want to see any future Scottish Government do to help make the world a better place.  

The document explores the steps that could be taken to help Scotland become a stronger global citizen in these turbulent times – at home and abroad.  

The document sets out three categories of challenges:  

• Re-commit to International aid spending
• Double down on climate commitments
• Utilise Scotland’s soft power by championing causes on the international stage
